Ireland has had many revolutions which have affected it in different ways. Revolutions in other countries have also affected Ireland. You could be talking about any of those, so there could be many answers.

If you are referring to 1916, then in simple terms it led to a war of Independence, independence itself and a civil war. The origins of the two main Irish political parties, Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael, emerged from the two sides of the civil war. 1916 still plays a major part in modern Ireland as the people still strive to get the Ireland that Pearse and his colleagues wanted. There have been negative effects in terms of people fighting for total independence which resulted in the divisions in Northern Ireland, that affected Ireland seriously in the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s and to a lesser extent today. There is a huge amount more that could be said about how 1916, or any other revolution, has affected Ireland.
