If you are wealthy you will have many rooms and mosty in the shape of a U with a garden in the middle. There were two floors and there was no roof, mostly because they didn't have very good vintalation.

First there is the Top class (in other words the rich people) their houses where two stories high, and where made out of reed bricks. Also the rich people in the Sumerian civilization had a court just from themselves and usually their houses where near to the Ziggurat (the temple). The Artisans had one story houses and they also had their own court. Last there is the slaves who lived in huts right at the sides of the gates which surrounded the city.
