This is a MYTH M-Y-T-H Myth! Nowhere in The Bible is this idea even hinted- though Christ was born in close proximity to domestic animals- the Ox and Ass, sheep and shepherds, goats, etc. Nowhere in the Bible accounts do we find the miraculous occurence- as this defies basic laws of nature- that animals cannot talk- of talking animals. a cartoon film was done on this premise and IS a holiday tradition of sorts- even then the (Gift) only lasted one night. The Bull was the first animal to talk- and also the first to relapse to animal noises- It is time that man learned the truth- Moo!- then back to the barnyard.
A superstition is simply someone else's belief that we do not share.
No, a Christmas tree falling over does not cause bad luck. This belief is purely superstition.

A superstition is any belief that is followed based on tradition and empirical evidence rather than a belief that is based on scientific testing, logic and reason: Any belief that relies on the existence of something supernatural for an explanation, it is a superstition.
