As I recall, Kyle would not ever get back with Amanda. Kyle would leave his family while Declan would take over for Tom Foss and become Kyle's protector. Kyle would then travel the world and become very messiah like. It would inevitably lead to Kyle creating world peace, everyone's happy, the end.
