In none of the back to the future movies have they ever created nuclear power. In the first one they used lighting to generate 1.21 gw of energy, and then the professer fixed it in the beggining of the second movie so you don't need nuclear power to go back.

What is the the future of nuclear power?

Nuclear power underwent a decline after the accidents at 3 mile Island and in Chernobyl Russia, but it is starting to come back around in popularity as it is clean plentiful power if handled correctly. the future would have to be fission reactions using hydrogen, basicly creating a mini sun and harnessing it's power. This presents many problems and can't be implemented until it is fully understood. this type of reaction is self sustaining and can get out of control.

Are nuclear and atomic power the same?

Yes. Atomic power was the term used back in the 40's and 50's but we talk of nuclear power nowadays, which is more correct.

What are the possible implications of building or not building a nuclear power plant?

Current technology has two viable power sources for the foreseeable future. Coal and fossil fueled plants are one and Nuclear is the ONLY other one. There is only one country on the planet that does not understand this. France, for example, is now 90% nuclear powered. They brag about the few dozen useless wind systems they have, but the truth is that France reduced it's CO2 output by installing nuclear.Without nuclear power we have no chance of maintaining the lifestyles we have today. We do have hundred of years of oil left, but that requires mining in Colorado, North Dakota and Wyoming. This brings with it dirtier power and mining issues. The only Clean power we have is Nuclear.Waste is also an issue that could be dealt with. Nuclear plants create zero new radioactivity. The fuel rods are mined and concentrated. Radiation is not increased, just concentrated. Diluting this concentration back to original levels is possible. Just prohibited to make nuclear power seem more dangerous.

Sentences with the word nuclear?

Describe the role of steam in a nuclear power plant?

In a nuclear power plant, steam is generated by heat produced from the nuclear fission reaction. This steam is used to spin turbines connected to generators, producing electricity. The steam is then condensed back into water and reused in a continuous cycle.

What are the risks of a nuclear power plants?

The impacts of a properly run nuclear power plant are limited to thermal pollution associated with cooling water discharges.I fit is a heavy water reactor there is a risk of discharge of heavy water to receiving water courses and a small amount of tritium.A:There is really no dangers to having a nuclear power plant because when they reverse the water back into the lake from hot to cold they have a closed off part so they want kill any fish. Some of you may be asking about global warming and environmental damage but he has very little co2 emissions so it is a very good alternative to keeping costs down. The only minor defect is that they strip mine uranium.Strip mining uranium can be a good source to help us in the future. The government can benefit on nuclear power plants because they can take the used plutonium and make those into nuclear bombs for future wars. if you have any more questions about nuclear power plants visit the nuclear power board of commission.

What is the purpose of a nuclear condenser?

A nuclear condenser is used to convert steam back into water in a nuclear power plant. This helps to increase the efficiency of the power plant by allowing the steam to be reused in the reactor's cooling process. Additionally, the condenser helps to reduce the environmental impact of the power plant by minimizing water consumption and preventing water pollution.

What is used in nuclear power stations to cool the reacants down?

Water is commonly used to cool the reactor in nuclear power stations. This water absorbs the heat generated by the nuclear reactions and carries it away, preventing the reactor from overheating. The cooled water is then circulated back to the reactor to continue the cooling process.

How do nuclear power plants contribute to thermal pollution?

Nuclear power plants contribute to thermal pollution by releasing heated water back into the environment after being used to cool their systems. This heated water can raise the temperature of the receiving water body, which can disrupt aquatic ecosystems and harm aquatic life.
