They survived by luck more than anything else. Getting a job inside would increase one's chances of survival. Getting a job in the kitchens or anything with potential access to food would have been even better. Or a job where they could gain access to anything that they could use to bribe a guard.

That's a tough question to answer. The only way, is to read survivors stories and with that said, I can only imagine it had to be faith.

Over 100,000 prisoners died at Bergen-Belson.

Since the camp had no gas chambers, most were shot, hung or starved to death. A lot died from a Typhus epidemic, like Ann Frank.

POW's

had little or nothing to eat. If not shot, or hung the Typhus epidemic got them. Many, weakened, no doubt, lay upon the ground, prayed to their Lord and Savior, then closed their eyes never to awaken again. Prisoners were dying at the rate of 1000-1500 per day.

How did they survive? The hand of GOD...luck...I

don't know the answer...

I should also point out that 60,000 survived when the British liberated the camp in 1945. Though they survived, they were seriously

ill. Over 13,000 of them died after liberation.
