There are a lot more than 63 known elements; we are currently up to 118.
Most of these elements do occur in nature, and chemists find them in various rocks, in the atmosphere, or in other assorted places. For the elements that don't occur in nature, such as technitium, those are created by the use of particle accelerators.
There were about 63 known elements.
63 elements had been discovered so far.
By 1869, a total of 63 elements had been discovered.
The answer is close to being four, eight, seven, or nine. idk...not sure. If anyone knows what the answer is they can update this. Tihs is just a guess to the question. ;)
Dmitri Mendeleev in 1869. He was a Russian chemist. There were only 63 known elements at that time.
Dmitri Mendeleev published a periodic table with 63 elements in 1868.
How many known elements were there in 1789? Short answer = more than 63 Longer answer = In the 1860's Mendeleev organized the 63 known elements. After this organization there was a boom of new elements being discovered (because we now knew what we were looking for). I'm sure further research would turn up a better answer. At the time the 63 elements were known, most of them were solids. Metals, which make up a significant portion of the periodic table, are typically solid at room temperature. A few elements, such as mercury and bromine, were known to be liquids, while only a handful, like oxygen and nitrogen, existed as gases under standard conditions.

When Dmitri Mendeleev first published his periodic table in 1869, there were 63 known elements listed.

The answer to this equation would be 63. The "difference" is the comparative analysis of the values, a set of 81 elements has 63 more elements than a set having 18 elements. Or 81-18 = 63.
