People during the old times used to take older pieces of cotton and weave them together to get thread .
James Hargreaves was involved with the invention of a carding machine which prepared fiber for spinning, and then he invented the Spinning Jenny used for simultaneously spinning the fiber into multiple spools of thread.
The Spinning Jenny is a machine invented by James Hargreaves (probably in 1764) which was used to spin cotton fibre into thread on multiple spindles thus increasing production.
The spinny jenny was used to spin cotton yarn when it was invented in the late 1700's in England. The "flying shuttle" had recently been invented and put into use in the weaving industry, dramatically improving weaver's productivity. As a result, the demand for yarn (thread) increased dramatically. The spinning jenny allowed a single operator to create 8 spindles of thread at a time, instead of just one.
A spinning jenny is another name for a type of spinning wheel with 8 spindles. It increased the speed that thread could be spun into cloth.
The spinning jenny is a multi-spool spinning wheel. It was invented circa 1764 by James Hargreaves in Stanhill, near Blackburn, Lancashire in the north west of England (although Thomas Highs is another candidate identified as the inventor). ...

it's called the Spinning Jenny and no, the Cotton Gin just took the seeds out while the Spinning Jenny actually spun thread. The spinning Jenny spun 8 threads at a time which sped up cloth making a good bit, the technology before the spinning Jenny only did 1 thread at a time, but it still saved them time

They didn't. You can't use something BEFORE it is invented.

It was the Spinning Jenny that changed cotton into thread. The cotton gin removed the seeds.

The Spinning Jenny, invented in 1760 by James Hargreaves, improved thread production. The Water Frame was the first powered spinning machine, invented in 1764.The Spinning Mule, a combination of the principals of the Spinning Jenny and the Water Frame, was invented by Samuel Crompton. It provided tougher and finer cotton thread. The Carding Machine and the Carding Engine were also invented for the textile industry which demanded more cardings after the invention of the Spinning Jenny.
the spinning Jenny was made to help people back in the day to UN weave thread all at once
In 1764, James Hargreaves invented the spinning jenny. The spinning jenny was named after James's wife. James invented the spinning jenny to spin yarn faster.
