christians are just normal people. we try to live our lives the was jesus would want, but we are only human. we make stupid mistakes just like everyone else. if we lived in a perfect world with no sin then a christians would live like jesus lived and how he wants us to live our lives.
The lifestyle of a Christian should be - be the best you can be as far as being a person of integrity: no immorality, no drinking or drugs, or cheating of any sort, no violence.
Spend time in seeking to know God, spend some time in doing good for others. Contrary to the above - Jesus told us that he came to being life and life in its fullness. This means that we are to enjoy life to the full through our relationship with God. Drinking, contrary to the above, is not forbidden in The Bible, only drunkenness. Jesus himself drank alcohol, and therefore most Christians cannot see anything wrong with alcohol per se - only its abuse. We are, however, to look after our bodies and not to abuse them through, for example, illegal drugs, as Paul stated that our bodies are a Temple of the Holy Spirit and should be looked after accordingly. Christians need to be in this world, but not of it. That means that Christians should be down to earth, streetwise, and well abreast of the world's issues, problems and standards - but should not succumb to the world's standards but set their sights of things eternal. As examples, we should be people of integrity and honesty, conciliatory, of good standing in our morals, sexual behaviour, and what we do with our money. For instance, Christians should not really set their sights on winning a fortune in the Lottery as we are warned in scripture about the love of money. However, the possession of money is not a sin - only what we do with it. So Christians should support organisations to help those less fortunate - eg Fairtrade. But first and foremost, Christians should be people of prayer. Whatever a Christian does in life - whether a housewife, a street cleaner or a consultant brain surgeon, Christians have a wonderful realtionship with God thanks to Jesus Christ and his sacrifice for us. And therefore we should express this relationship through prayer. Christians should never 'cross their fingers' and hope for the best! We should immerse everything in prayer to God - all things both good and bad, happy and sad. God will laugh with us in the happy times and cry with us in the sad. So, in conclusion, we should look at Jesus and his relationship with is father. If we try to emulate just what he did, we will not go far wrong.
It depends on your type of Christianity sorta. But everyone should live kindly, respectfully, joyfull, and loving Jesus Christ our savior. Everyone should live by his or her convictions. All we can do, any of us, is live as we believe we should. No one does evil for evil's sake. If one does evil, what the masses think of as evil, it is likely because for some reason that one believes it is good. Usually that good is selfmotiviated. There has to be a payout.
Sadly, everyone who claims to be a Christian is not one or does not care to live like the Bible commands a Christian to live. Christians are supposed to be different from other people. They are to strive live like Christ did while he was on earth, and my that I mean that they are to love people unconditionally, to be moral and Godly, to forgive again and again, and to live their lives in service the their creator and God. Although there are many standards by which a Christian is commanded to live, we are humans and we do make mistakes quite often. This is no excuse to live a sinful lifestyle, but we know that we are forgiven for those mistakes.
Some simple ways that my Christian beliefs change the way I live are these: I do my best to remember that God created us all equal and everyone deserves my respect, I want to show others the love of Christ through me by loving them and showing compassion. I am a faithful wife, sister, and friend. I try my very best not to slander, gossip, or lie (although I falter some in these areas). I will cry with those who are hurting, celebrate with those who are joyful, and live in love with those who hate me. I will "turn the other cheek" and forgive when someone hurts me, and I will admit when I am wrong and apologize when I have hurt someone. I am a modest person when it comes to my dress, I don't want to cause men to think thoughts they shouldn't. I do my best not to seek revenge on those who have wronged me no matter how much I may want to.
Hope this helps clear up your question! =]
