How do Hindus get to the temples?

Some drive, some walk, some bike. It all depends on the Hindu and how close he or she lives to his or her nearest temple.

Aupmanyav adds: Some under vows may walk long distances (300 kilometers to bring water from river Ganges and bathe Shiva idol with it - happens in August), or may proceed by prostrating themselves from one length to another. Some people walk to the famous Ganesha temple (Siddhi Vinayak) in Mumbai to pray on special occasions, the distance may be 30 or 40 kms.
