I snapped the clip off one of mine too, it's a bummer I know but that was 4 years ago and my solution is still working so here it is. I took a small zip tie, held the connector and the injector together and wrapped the zip tie across it diagonally, then another in the opposite direction making an x across the top of the connector. If you have damaged it in some other way then you might be able to get a used connector from the junk yard and splice it into the harness where the old one was
There is not much you can do for a leaky fuel injector but they do not cost much, they only run around 20 dollars.

It is likely an injector problem which would require you to replace the injectors.

Firstly do not hot wire the injector it will either fry it or the injector circuits in the ECU. There are two transistors that control the injector circuits on the board.
