There are several things a person can do in creating stationary paper and business cards. The first and most basic thing to start with is buying a good ink jet printer and plenty of ink. Stores like Staples, Target, Wal-Mart, and sell many different types of stationary paper that can be used. Creative design is also a bonus if a person wants to stand out with his or her business cards.
Good quality business thank you cards can be purchased from most stationery retailers. Papyrus has an option to create custom cards, where the customer is able to choose the type of paper, number of cards, font, and message. This may be a good option, as the customer will have complete control over the quality of the card.
Paperie refers to a shop or store that sells paper products such as stationery, cards, notebooks, and other paper goods. It can also refer to the business of making or selling paper goods.
Personalized stationery cards can be made fast by using a company that can mass produce them. Companies include Overnight Prints, Stationery Xpress and Paper Culture.

for That's Life puzzle = letterheadStationery Paper Weight and BrightnessWhether you create your own, order stationery, or buy stationery from an office supply store, insist on a good quality paper - say a 22 or 24 pound bond or heavier - for your business stationery. Never use standard 20 pound bond printer or copy paper for your business correspondence because it just comes off as flimsy.Brightness numbers pertain to the level of "whiteness" in the paper. Standard printer and copy paper may only carry a brightness rating of 84. For business communications I like to use 90 or better - the higher the brightness value, the brighter the paper. Brighter paper results in crisper text on the page and better print resolution. Switching my printer paper to heaver and brighter bond paper for business correspondence has served me well for several years now to the extent that I haven't felt the need to buy custom printed business stationery yet.

Traditionally, business cards are printed on heavy, matte paper. Glossy photo paper can be used for business cards with photographs or bright colored logos, but may not hold up as well to humidity. Textured paper can give a unique look and feel, but be more expensive.
Glossy cards are business cards printed on a higher quality paper than most business cards are printed on. Gotprint sells them, but I don't think you can get glossy cards everywhere.
