There is no way to get rid of the magnifying glass when you are on a page with multiple pins, such as your home feed, a board page, or a topic page. These pages will always show the magnifying glass. However, once you are on a single pin page (by clicking on a pin from the home feed or board page), you will now see the hand icon.

You can reset your home page by going to the settings menu. In the settings menu you will find the tab for general settings. In the general settings you can designate your choice for a home page.
One can get rid of the Google toolbar notifier by uninstalling this option from the Control Panel of Microsoft Windows. Also this can be done from the Internet browser by deselecting this option from the home page section.

Since HomepagePays is an extension, you go to "tools" and then "add-ons Manager", and you should be able to find the link and delete it from there.
go to start >> configuration >> software >> uninstall software There you will find it under the name "PHP Nuke" or "Conduit" or similar. This will not work, if you are using Firefox,go to tools then add ons then extensions, then remove,..............
You need to get rid of the Conduit search protect program first. I suggest you use Revo Uninstaller (www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download) to do this. Once you have uninstalled that, you can set your homepage normally. You can go into a setup window to enter a web address, or in most browsers, you can right click on the page and select an option to set it as the home page, or use a button at the top. This depends on the browser. You can click through this slideshow to find directions for the common browsers: http://websearch.about.com/od/webbrowsers/ss/How-to-Set-Your-Home-Page-to-Your-Favorite-Web-Site_2.htm#step-heading
