Lakes can be salt water or fresh water. If you mean a specific lake you will have to resubmit your question with the name of the Lake you wish to know about.

Lake water suprisingly is as safe to drink as bottled water (varying on the lake but in general its fine) So a rabbit should be perfectly fine with drinking lake water. If he/she doesnt go for it, just fill a Dasani bottle with lake water and poor it into their bowl, they'll never know;)

Well, Yes it is possible to drink lake water, not a garentee that you would live for long drinking lake water everyday. Lake water is dirty and you don't know what has happened to the lake anyways. Besides, why would you take the risk, drinking it would cause you to become sick.
