It might be; you'd need to have someone who knows something about computers look at it and tell you. For most values of "old", it probably won't be worth it. Memory for old computers can be difficult to find, and often pricey, and when you're done, it still won't be as fast as a new computer.

The RAM (Random Acces Memory) is a part of your computer. If there is an erorr message while trying a game, you need more RAM (consult a specialist). If your computer doesn't start, check the RAMs if they are in position, or take it to be fixed by someone who knows how to do that.
