There are many, many tax codes for many different types of taxes and payments....income, payroll, property and sales/use to name a few. Different codes may be needed for different types of payment mehtods (manual form and check compared to electronic payment, etc).
Presuming your meaning the codes for paying over sales/use tax collections by a vendor in a State that requires different ones in different areas (NYS, for example) - and again presuming your trying to use this as part of a computer system logic - If your dealing with a small Co and limited number of reporting States, your best to reverse engineer it. That is, determine where you'll be having to report and just use the forms provided for the info - likely eliminating many districts you may never use anyway.
The information is available commercially, and part of the logic in most all compliance (or research) systems one purchases for this. However, those systems are expensive for a small taxpayer, and the information - while public record available at each jurisdiction - is proprietary when compiled for their use.
