floppy farst boot drive and install window
You just put in the installation disk for Win 7 and it will reinstall itself over the existing OS.
Reinsert your windows disk (OS) and then reinstall , there is something permetly wrong with your computer
To reinstall Microsoft office, you must have the original disk your computer came with that includes Microsoft Office. Just pop the disk in and re-install the software.
A no disk error is the result of the hard drive crashing. Replace the hard drive, and reinstall the proper Windows software for the specific computer.
That depends on exactly what brand of computer you have, and what operating system was originally installed on the computer being, "wiped" and the computer the Dell disk came from. There are two types of Windows besides the whole Home, Pro, Ultimate etc., Retail and OEM. If the registration information for Windows that came with the computer is going to be reused, and the computer was running the same OS as what is on the Dell disk, in most cases I think that the system will allow a complete reinstall of Windows. If the computer was not running an OEM version of Windows and never has, the Dell Disk would not be able to install properly. A retail version of Windows should be able to be installed on any system that it legally can be installed on that meets the minimum system requirements.
as far as i know yes if you have a computer able to run it (odds are yes) and the install disk and stuff
Yes it can be rerun to preform an reinstall of the system.
If your restore requires a windows disk then you cannot restore without one. Most do not require a windows CD. Most include the windows files in the manufacturer restore.
No, Not unless it was a "disk image"backup.
No. The disk that came with the Dell laptop does not contain all the files that a full Windows XP installation disk comes with. Instead it will contain the files needed to install Windows XP on your Dell laptop. As Windows XP installs it will detect the hardware that your computer is constructed from (including the motherboard and processor) and install files that are specifically for that hardware. Your HP computer will have different hardware to the Dell, so the installation that is suitable for the Dell will not work properly on the HP.
you need to check and see if the computer you have can meet the hardware requirements of XP before you do that. Dont format your drive until you are positive that your computer has the necessary disk space, ram and speed needed to handle the massive load of XP
When you buy a computer you should have a disk that allows you to install the operating system onto the computer. This is important as there will be times when you will need to reinstall that operating system. Have disk no problem, no disk big problem
