Hi girl,
Yes, it's the same as the '04 and all generation II Solara models.
It'll help if you can get the car in the air a little. Remove the splash shield under the front of the car. It's held on by several plastic and metal fasteners but all are Phillips type screwdriver heads.
Once you've removed the plastic panel you can reach the foglight housings. Turn the socket to the left and pull it toward the rear of the car. Remove the bulb by pushing down and twisting to the left then pull out. Replacement is the opposite of removal.
It's so easy....even a girl can do it ;)
See answers already posted to "How do you change oil on a 2004 Toyota Solara," "How do you change oil on a 2006 Toyota Solara," "How do you change oil on a 2007 Solara." They're the same as the '08. The short answer is, oil changes are the same on almost all vehicles. 1. Place a suitable container (5 quarts or more for the Solara) under the car. 2. Remove the drain plug and let the oil empty into it. 3. Replace the drain plug and move the container until it's under the filter 4. Spin the filter off (in the case of the Solara it's wise to place rags or paper towels under the filter to prevent a mess on the floor) 5. Replace filter 6. Add five quarts of oil 7. Start engine, check for leaks 8. Reset maintenance light. Cheers
how do u chance the serpentine belt on a Toyota v6 solara
Toyota.com will show you how.
You don't. There is no cabin air filter on the Gen I Solara. The interior air filter appeared on the 2004 (gen II) and later Solara. Cheers
5,000 miles
this is actually a very simple task. remove the bolts that hold the terminals on. slide them off and clean them with a wire brush. remove the nut that holds the metal bar that holds the battery in place. replace the battery. replace the nut, tighten it. replace the terminals and tighten them.

Sorry, there isn't a cabin filter on the Gen I Solara. The filter came with the Gen II (2004) and later models. Cheers
3000 miles is safest
This is going to seem like a smart aleky answer but....You remove the old engine and replace it with a different one. For a more in depth answer I'd suggest you purchase a Clymers or Haynes manual for your Solara or get a factory service manual. All will offer step-by-step instructions with pictures. The factory manual can be downloaded from Toyota's website for about ten dollars. Cheers
The Solara oil filter is a common spin on type. Just turn it to the left to unscrew (use a filter wrench if it's too tight). Replace with the appropriate part number. Don't tighten the filter too much. If you just go a third of a turn or so after the gasket contacts the machined engine surface you'll be able to remove it easily without tools the next time you change your oil. Cheers
