How do UFO's fly?

Since we don't know what UFOs are (that is what the U stands for!) it is wrong of us to assume they are any kind of craft, flying or otherwise. There are plenty of known phenomena that can look like UFOs zipping around, that are not piloted alien craft. So there is no logical need to reason to assume they are alien craft.

While it is both easy and fun to make up technobabble about how alien spacecraft operate, it is just words. If anyone knew, for real, how they worked, they'd build a copy and sell it for a fortune. But this question is not about alien spacecraft-- read the question! It is about UFOs, and never, not even once, has any UFO turned out to be an alien spacecraft, In fact, aliens are not yet known and proven to exist.

UFO stands for Unidentified Flying Object. This does not mean it is an actual thing flying-- sometimes things like light reflections have been called UFOs. UFO is kind of a bad acronym. Not only do a lot of people somehow think it is an acronym for "alien spacecraft", but it carries the assumptions of "flying" and "being an object", neither of which is proven. Some use the acronym "UAP", Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon.

Please note that so far, *no* UFO has ever been proven to have any connection with alien beings. In fact, so far, there is no solid proof of alien beings even existing.

Bear in mind that anecdotes (witness accounts) never become proof, no matter how many of them you have. Witness accounts are only of value in describing known phenomena. No eyewitness can say they saw an alien spacecraft without raising the question, "Where did you see the other alien spacecraft, to know what an alien spacecraft looks like?"

Also bear in mind that, while people can piece together Star Trek technobabble about how the supposed "alien spacecraft" operate, none of them can actually build one, as they are just stringing tech words together. If they really knew how the "spacecraft" worked, they'd be in their garage finishing one up by now!

I've never seen a vortex fly unless you strain the word "fly" to include tornadoes. But it seems obvous that reversing a vortex cancels it out, leaving calm. Remember, there is no "pure" vortex; it is a description of movement in a medium. Turning the medium counter to the vortex, weakens the vortex. Keep it up, and it is gone. In any case no alien spacecraft is known to involve vortices; no alien spacecraft is known and proven to even exist, let alone use a given technology.

In any case, no UFO has, upon investigation, turned out to be a vortex. It is easy to make up wild claims about UFOs being vortexes or vortex-driven, but without proof, you are just wasting time. Claims without proof is as useful as a carpenter without wood.

Since no one knows what they are, no one knows how they fly.

As above but they DO need to spin.There is a definite electromagnetic force and some kind of radiation[Gods Glory] involved. A radiation that refracts light to be only green.
