Obviously, he has chosen someone else to marry, so pray about it and ask God to show you the right person to have a relationship with. Use His wisdom rather than your own and you will succeed.

When my first wife died after 33 years of marriage, I was scared to get back into the dating scene, but found someone on a christian dating site, and we got married. Now we are married for four years because we focused on what God wanted for us rather than what we saw and felt was right. We knew He was leading us because we were close to Him and we put Him first in our relationship. Matthew 6:33 says: Make God your first priority and He will give you the rest of what you need". This doesn't mean you can just stay home and not do anything, then God will give you what you need. But if you put Him first in your life, then He will help you with what you need in your life.

An example of this happened the other day to us: Someone had given us a couch, so we were talking about what else we needed for our house and we said end tables as one of these things to get. The next day, God brought someone to church who had extra furniture in her truck and we got more than we had asked for. God does it this way sometimes, while other times He wants you to rest in Him while you wait.

If what you are looking for in a relationship is all sensual, then you will end up being unhappy. But if you let God into your life and relationships, then He will help you find the right person. Go slowly as you look for someone. It is not meant to be a throwaway situation when you get in a relationship. It is meant to be a lifelong cxommitment. If you are not ready for this, then wait until you are. God will send you the right person in His time, not yours. Read Proverbs 3:5-6 and you will see what I mean. God bless you as you follow Him.
