The Goliath Bird Eating Spider does eat birds, but its usual diet is frogs, small snakes, incests, lizards, rats, and the occasional bat. It catches its prey by sneaking up on it, pounces on the prey, and injects it with a neurotoxin that paralyzes it. It drags it back to its burrow and regurgitates stomach fluid on it that will break down the preys soft tissue, and then it sucks up the fluid.
