Depending on which animal you need to know how it looses heat, its hard to answer this question?
Here are some examples...
- Dogs pant to loose their heat; as they cant sweat.
- Bearded dragons bask in heat to gain energy, if they are kept cold then they become lethargic. Meaning that they do not have energy when they are cold. Bearded dragons find it hard to loose heat when they get too hot; but one way that they do loose weight is by opening their mouth.
If you need to know then ask away and i will try my best to answer?
Heat transfers from a rock to an animal through conduction. When the animal comes in contact with the rock, the heat energy from the rock moves to the animal through direct contact. The rate of heat transfer depends on factors like the temperature difference between the rock and the animal, the thermal conductivity of the rock, and the duration of contact.
Yes they can
Both hair and feathers control the flow of heat. Without either, an animal would lose heat much quicker.
okay the pompeii worm is most heat-tolerant
Depends what animal! * A dog/cat could die with to much heat! * A desert cat might survive with lots of heat! Why don't you tell me exactly what animal it is!
They detect the body heat of an animal. When they sense the heat, they just stick on.
