Animations are .gif files, which are compatible for importing into Windows Movie Maker. However, many people seem to have problems getting the animations to work in the program.I'm not exactly sure why they can't get the animations to work (there could be a number of reasons). This is likely due to programming formats that were used to create the animation originally. In any case, if you are experiencing difficulty in getting your .gif animations to work, you might consider purchasing video editing software that provides for easier tasking of imported media. Or, if deciding to stick with Windows Movie Maker, substitute .gifs with creative transitions, effects of your own.
