∙ 13y agoThe way a female eagle chooses to select herself a mate is by putting the male eagle into a series of tests.
Firstly, she goes and finds a twig that has fallen off a tree and flies into a tree and drops the twig. If the male eagles is successful in catching the twig, then he has passed the first test. The female eagle will then go and find a twig that weighs about the same as a baby eaglet and does higher into the same tree and drops it again. She then watches to see whether the male eagle will catch it. If he does, he has passed that test and she then puts him through his third and last test. Finally, she goes and finds a twig that weighs about the same as her and flies high into the tree and drops the twig. If he catches that also then he has passed the test and she will mate with him.
