They die like any other animal can die- disease, exposure to the elements, old age, starvation, being eaten, etc.

Bats can also die due to current. they are too heavy to be held by an electric wire.

It also is true that they do NOT have hollow bones.

I am not saying they do not die normaly , that is true too.
