they help plants grow insofar as they transfer pollen from one plant to another resulting in the fertilisation of seed. this in turn leads to new plants growing. they are however nor gardeners or cultivators.

Yes, honey bees are good for gardens. The insects in question (Apis spp) drink a flowering plant's nectar and remove their pollen. Some of the pollen falls onto plant reproductive plants operating under propagation by cross-pollination while the rest goes back to the hive for feeding, processing, and storing.

They do not *help* the environment. They are, rather, an absolutely critical part of it. If you delete them, a great variety of plant species will not be pollinated and will go extinct.
