How do change a fuel filter on peugeot 407 2.0 hdi?

First remove the plastic cover over the engine, the fuel filter is located on the left hand side just to the right of the alternator. there are two hoses that need to be removed one on the left marked "in" and one on the left marked "out" this is a simple case ofpressing the white button on the connector and pulling off the hoses. next a electical socket needs to be unpluged at the front again simple just pull apart. in the centre of the unit is a plastic nut (27mm) this needs to undone it will be a little stiff but dose unscrew anti-clockwise, once you have removed this lid the filter is simply pulled out, there is an o ring on the threads of the lid your new filter should come with a replacement one. put in new filter and o ring then put back together in reverse order. be careful not to contaminate the insides.job done :-)
