Check the cutoff button in your trunk on the drivers' side on the side of the fender.
A Lincoln Mark VII (84-87) models with the 5.0 engine used the same setup as the 87-93 Ford Mustang with the computer "brain" in the passenger side kick panel. To reset it, you just disconnect the negative battery cable, and leave it disconnected for a long enough time to allow the brain to completely loose all juice (about an hour). If you have not corrected the problem, the check engine light comes right back on.
If you're talking 87-93 mustang and Lincoln mark VII, I think most engine transmission (automatic) parts are interchangeable. no they use different transmissions and engines
i dont see why not, my 87 Z31 is running with a 86 ECU (figuring by the codes iv pulled so far are all 86 codes) my car is a 4/87

you need to be more specific Nissan used different methods for 87-88 vehicles 84-94 vehicles and vehicles with a check engine light.

If there are no codes set it means the problem you may have is not computer related.
