Well there are many different ways to measure binary solutions. But when we are talking about particles then i would say ppm is the best measurement. You cannot measure particle in a volume rather use a specific measurement method like Moles in Volume. You can find all the ways to measure your solution you are trying to measure in Solutions page of wikipedia.

What does a compound formula tell you?

A compound formula, or molecular formula, tells you about the chemical composition of the substance in terms of the number of atoms of that element that are present. From there, the empirical formula may also be derived by simplifying the molecular formula, as well as its structural formula.

How do you convert mass into weight?

First find the molar mass (or atomic mass) i.e h1206 would be (1*12)+(16*6). You then take that number and multiply it by Avrogondi's number which is: 6.02 *1023 which will then give you the # of representative particles in that mole.

What is mole percent?

Mole percent, or molar percent of a substance is the ratio of the moles of a substance in a mixture to the moles of the mixture. It represents the number of moles of a substance in a mixture as a percentage of the the total number of moles in the mixture. Mole % = (mol substance in a mixture) / (mol mixture) * 100

Grams to formula units?

It depends on the substance and its molar mass.In order to convert from grams to formula units, you must first convert grams to moles, then moles to formula units (grams --> moles --> formula units).1. Divide the mass (g) of the given substance by the substance's molar mass.2. Multiply the number of moles found in Step 1 (above) by Avogadro's number (6.022 x 1023).---- Mass substance ----- X 6.022 x 1023 formula unitsMolar mass substanceCONVERSION FACTORMass (g) substance x 1 mol substance ------- x ----- Avogadro's number/////////////////// molar mass (g) substance ------------ 1 mol substance

The fundamental density is the ratio of the mass of a substance to its volume this is known as what?

its density. note. density is often expressed as the ratio of the density of the substance to the density of water at standard temperature and pressure. This is known as the specific gravity of the substance. It is a dimensionless number so it has no units.

What is the SI unit used to measure the number of representative particles in a substance?

its the mole.

Avogadros number of representative particals is equal to one?

Avogadro's number is the number of particles (atoms, molecules, ions, etc.) in one mole of a substance, which is approximately 6.022 x 10^23. Therefore, 1 mole of any substance contains Avogadro's number of representative particles.

Shows the number and type of atoms present in the smallest representative unit of a substance?

The smallest representative unit of a substance is called a molecule. The number and type of atoms present in a molecule are determined by the chemical formula of the substance. The chemical formula provides information on the number and type of each element present in the molecule.

What does a pH level measure?

It measures the number of hydrogen ions in a substance.

Which term is same for one mole of oxygen and water?

The number of particals (molecules, atoms, ions etc.) in one mole of ANY substance is the same: 6.022*1023 (Avogadro's number)

What does a mole measure?

An instrument can not be used to measure moles because moles is the amount of grams of a substance divided by the molar mass of the substance. This can not be measured and has to be calculated.

What is measure of average speed of particles of a substance?

The average speed of particles in a substance is determined by calculating the total distance traveled by all particles over a certain time period, and then dividing by the number of particles. This provides a measure of how fast, on average, the particles are moving within the substance.

How many moles is 2.17x10 representative particles of bromine?

Since one mole is equal to 6.022x10^23, there are .36 moles in 2.17x10 representative particles of bromine. A mole is a measure used to make atomic calculations for density.

What does the unit "mol/L" signify in the context of chemistry?

The unit "mol/L" signifies the concentration of a substance in a solution, specifically the number of moles of the substance per liter of the solution. It is a measure of how much of the substance is dissolved in the solution.

What is the relationship between moles and Avogadro's number in stoichiometry calculations?

In stoichiometry calculations, moles are used to measure the amount of a substance involved in a chemical reaction. Avogadro's number is a constant that represents the number of particles in one mole of a substance. The relationship between moles and Avogadro's number is that one mole of any substance contains Avogadro's number of particles, which is approximately 6.022 x 1023. This relationship is important in converting between the mass of a substance and the number of particles present in a reaction.
