dead animals and matter all get compressed at extremely high temperatures over millions and millions of years and eventually form coal and oil. So technically, coal and oil will run out for us but in millions more years, if there are civilisations still on earth, there will be plenty of coal and oil again. won't be any use to us though
it can be sedimentary rocks
no not all of them for example like Bituminous coal or coal, is form by plant remains

Organic sedimentary rocks, such as coal and some types of shale, form from the buildup and compression of plant material over time. These rocks are primarily composed of remains of plants and organic material.
Chalk and coal are examples of a kind of sedimentary rock called biochemical sedimentary rock. Biochemical sedimentary rocks form from the accumulation and lithification of organic remains, such as shells and plant material.
organic sedimentary rocks such as coal and some limestones which form from the accumulation of plant or animal debris.
The layer of coal between rocks is called a coal seam or coal bed. This layer forms over millions of years from compressed plant material.
The material comprising the rocks coal and limestone are derived from organisms. Therefore, they are classified as organic sedimentary rocks.
Anthracite .
Coal is generally softer than most rocks. It has a lower hardness level compared to most types of rocks.
Coal is typically found in sedimentary rocks such as sandstone, shale, and limestone. Petroleum is found in sedimentary rocks as well, usually in porous reservoir rocks such as sandstone or limestone that are capped by impermeable rock layers like shale or mudstone.
The origin of diamonds is rock, specifically kimberlite and lamproite volcanic rocks that form deep within the Earth's mantle. Coal is a completely different type of sedimentary rock formed from plant material.
