Molecules are formed when atoms of same type or other are bonded together.

They bond in order to attain extra stability.

On the other hand compounds are substances which have same constituents all through them and have uniform structure.

Example:- HCl(Hydrochloric acid) is a compound.One molecule of HCl means one atom of hydrogen and one atom of chlorine joined together.
