Hi,

it`s difficult to say. There are few articles which show stimulating effect of caffeine on locomotor activity of Drosophila. But in this case caffeine was given with food by long time. In other article you can find suggestion that acute treatment of caffeine gives inhibition effect, chronic treatment gives stimulating effect. I work on crickets and caffeine and my research shows something like this. After injections (acute treatment) I observe decrease of locomotor activity. Now I`m working on effects of caffeine after treatment with food. We will see what happen.

I don`t know anything about other effects .
