I am assuming you are talking about tennis. On a grass surface, the ball will bounce fast. On clay courts, the ball will bounce slower than on grass. On a hard court, the speed of the ball bounce will be in between clay and grass.

How does the tennis ball bounce on different surfaces?

Do different surfaces affect how balls bounce?

Soft surfaces (like a pillow) absorb the kinetic energy of the ball due to their plasticity. This makes the ball bounce less. Hard surfaces (like wood, stone) absorb very little energy from the ball due to their rigidity and hence the ball bounces more.

How does different infield surfaces affect the bounce and speed of a baseball?

Natural grass tends to give the ball a slightly slower, softer bounce. Artificial turf allows the ball to mvoe faster and bounce a littler harder.

How would different types of surfaces affect the bounce of a ball?

It must be ready and get concluding of gravitational of it.and made a completey wool

Does temperature affect the bounce of a rubber ball?

Temperature does not affect the bounce of a rubber ball. Let's say you bounce a rubber ball on the grass. The result will be different then bouncing a rubber ball on a concrete surface. The result is different because you are using a solid, hard surface to bounce the ball with. But the temperature will not affect the bounce of a rubber ball. you can test it out for youself.

Why does a ball bounce differently on different surfaces?

The differences are mostly due to surface friction.

Why do balls bounce higher on hard surfaces?

The ball is stop by soft surfaces, therefore it won't bounce as much.

What pictures can answer the question How does temperature affect the bounce of a ball?

temperature does affect the bounce of a ball!

Can a ball bounce higher on different surfaces?

Yes. the harder surface absrbs less of the balls energy, therefore the bal wil bounce higher.

Do different surfaces affect the bounce of a bsketball?

Yes. If the surface is soft the basketball will not bounce as high, but if the surface is like a gym floor the basketball will bounce extrememly well. Also you have into consideration the force of friction. The more friction the surface can produce the slower the ball will go.

How many times will a ball bounce if it is high in the air?

There are several variables in this problem. Different balls have different degrees of elasticity. And then there are different kinds of surfaces on which balls can bounce. A ball does not bounce the same way on a grass lawn that it does on a concrete floor. Also the description "high in the air" is not precise. Different heights can produce different numbers of bounces.

Does the brand of tennis ball affects it's bounce?

no the brand of a tennis ball does not affect it;s bounce because the only way for something to affect a tennis ball's bounce is if it's dead or not.
