Due to their large size the elephant has very few predators. They can run away if they need to. Elephants can run about 15 mph. If they really need to they can charge at their predators and can charge up to a speed of 25 mph.

Predators have to be extremely hungry to bother African elephants. Some predators such as female lions will follow the herd to try and grab a small elephant if they can, but mature female elephants are very wary of this.

climb up trees I doubt that monkeys would want to stay away from prey. They are more likely to be wary of predators.
Elephants are probably the largest living mammals on earth. They don't have any natural predators that can attack a full grown elephant. However, adolescent or young asian elephants can fall prey to adult Lions or Tigers. This can only happen if the youngster strays away from the herd.
Baby elephants are predated by lions, hyeanas and wild dogs in Africa. Adult elephants don't have any significant enemies except man. In Asia, elephants' predators are tigers and there are rare reports of adults falling victim.
