When lakes and other bodies of water freeze, only the top foot or so actually freezes, and because fish aren't mammals so they don't have to surface for air like sea mammals do (like whales and stuff), it's ok that the top part of the water is frozen. Hence, ice fishing.......So all in all the fish are just fine....
I was learning in my science class in grade 8 that the bottom of the sea bed is warm while the top of the ocean is freezing cold. You could still die if you go to the bottom of the ocean, but the temperature dops its coldness a bit so that the fishes can breed. And polar bears arn't friggen fish!
Many fish not only survive, but thrive, in freezing temperatures. Fish have a body temperature almost identical to that of the water, so no energy is wasted in heat loss. Fish in the Arctic environment, where water temperatures stay close to a constant 28 degrees F (-2 C), have developed a protein that is a natural antifreeze in the blood. The protein keeps the blood free of ice crystals right down to the freezing point of salt water, so that the fish can live, breed, and thrive in amazingly cold water.
because the ice on top of the water has little atoms stick to each other and sir gets grapes in side between the atoms which makes ice flot on top of the water and that prevents the water from freezing and also the water below is moving in rivers and oceans
Fish survive because they have special proteins in their body which is called antifreeze so the fish won't die while they are in any type of cold weather.
The fish dont die because the ice only freezes the top of the pond so the fish will go deeper water where the air in te water is because the colder air will lower
the whole water doesn't freeze (if it's not one of the poles) and fish can survive under that ice in the water because they are immune to really low temperatures.
due to the anomalous expansion of water
by staying home for the season
Yes they can survive in cold weather.
they are specials in cold and hot weather.
you actually have to have your house very warm. They won't survive in cold weather they will die if there in cold weather well some insects can't survive in cold weather.
It is not normal for them to live through cold weather, but on some counts they do.
they live in cold places
Bird's feathers act as insulators against the cold. They often survive cold weather by finding a protected area out of the cold weather.
that makes no sense
No, gnats do not cold air at all. Gnats do not survive the cold weather. They like hot and humid weather.
there fur
It depends which kind of fungi.
bowling
Yes, try can withstand hot or cold weather.
