Greenhouse gases readily allow the sun's warmth to reach the surface of the earth. The earth then warms up and begins to radiate heat at longer wavelengths that are blocked by greenhouse gases.
A certain amount of greenhouse gases is essential for life on earth as we know it. Without these gases, the world would be far colder than it is now. But the recent increases in concentrations of greenhouse gases are beginning to raise the world's temperature towards unsustainable levels.
Greenhouse gases absorb and re-emit infrared radiation emitted by the Earth's surface, trapping heat in the lower atmosphere. This process, known as the greenhouse effect, results in an overall warming of the lower atmosphere. Increased concentrations of greenhouse gases lead to more heat being trapped, causing the Earth's temperature to rise.
Global warming The increase in the average surface temperature in the world with an increase in the amount of carbon dioxide, methane, and some other gases in the atmosphere. These gases are called greenhouse gases because they contribute to the heating of the Earth's surface atmosphere, a phenomenon known as global warming.bit.ly3vN0fl
the names of green house gases are :- water vapour carbon dioxide methane ozone Any gas with three or more atomes is considered a green house gas. Water vapor makes up about 80% of all green house gas.
The definition of greenhouse gases are any gas with three or more atoms.Answer:The bond lengths between atoms in green house gases allows them to absorb heat energy more easily from sunlight. This is then shared with other atmospheric gases.
The greenhouse effect
Greenhouse gases make up approximately 3% of Earth's atmosphere, with water vapor being the most abundant. The main greenhouse gases are carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, and fluorinated gases, which trap heat in the Earth's atmosphere and contribute to global warming.
Green house gases will keep more of the heat that enters the earth. It will raise the temperature
Some causes for climate change would be mostly due to human activity. After cars and factories were made this has caused lots of pollution. many green house gases have been let out into our atmosphere. green house gases are gases that get trapped in earth's atmosphere that help maintain earth's temperature. Although if there are too much green house gases in our atmosphere such as carbon dioxide, earth's temperature will begin to rise. this process is called global warming.
Almost all the industrial activities leads to production of gases such as carbon di oxide, carbon monoxide and other green house gases.... it's quite obvious that green house gases increase the temperature of the earth's atmosphere by blocking and re-radiating the I-R rays into the atmosphere that have been reflected from the earth's surface previously .......

Yes they do, green house gases are caused by burning fossil fuels, coal and oil. These gases then 'attack' the onzone layer which creates 'holes' in the atmosphere which allows dangerous and harmful radiation into the atmosphere.
The atmosphere is affected by pollution and fosil fules or perhaps green house gases.......i think :-)
solar radiatians pass through the earth's atmosphere and are reflected by earth's surface.but due to green house gases they are trapped back tm earth which leads for earth's temperature to rise.
green house
Green house effect is the hypothesis that certain gases in the high atmosphere hold heat in.
Greeenhouse gases are but a little bit bad it's good if we didn't have green house gases the earth will be frozen
They get burned in the Green house gases
carbon- dioxide is a green house gas which when increased in the atmosphere causes global warming. it is released in the atmosphere when we burn fossil fuels i.e. petrol, diesel, coal. trees use carbon dioxide and release oxygen so we should plant more trees to reduce green house gases in the atmosphere. hope that helps....
