To protect themselves, horses can use their two main weapons, teeth and hooves. The teeth can be used in an aggressive attack to bite the predator, or other horses. The hooves can be used to strike any creature or object, whether it be with the front or back legs. Stallions, when fighting, tend to fight with their front halves (teeth, front legs). Mares mostly fight with their back end in vicious kicking attacks, although both genders will fight with both ends of their body.
