Im not the greatest person to be answering this but I would like to help. Humans actually help the red tailed hawks, I know it sounds wierd but we do. Our buildings can provide these hawks with shelter for building their nests and our telephone poles as well, since humans dont really bother them. Red tailed Hawks arent an endangered species, there are actually a lot of these hawks around. We also use them for falconry, we train them to hunt, which has helped their population number go up.

One human impact is hunting. Red tailed hawk is very heavily hunted. A second human impact is littering and pollution. when we litter we destroy their habitat

Habitat destruction, mainly. Although some unscrupulous hunters may kill one occasionally, this species, like all Birds of Prey, is strictly protected by law, and hunting is really not much of a threat, if any at all. Plus, the red tailed is the most abundant large raptor in North America.

By keeping a check on the rodent population, which does great damage to crops each year. They are a top predator, and good for the natural balance.
