A baby humpback whale drinks 130 gallons of water a day WOW!!!!!
I do not think the baby drinks that much salt water, and if you meant milk, that would be over a half a ton of high fat (40 - 50%) milk per day. Since the mother does not eat in the birthing area for at least a couple of months, this would probably kill the mother within two months at that rate of milk production! Do you probably mean 130 pounds of milk per day?
whales can't drink milk, it comes from a LAND animal!
Actually, whales DO drink milk. They are mammals. All mammals drink milk. They are called "mammals" because they have "mammary" glands which produce milk.
* I believe it depends on the size of the whale. Blue whale (largest mammal) calves drink between 100-150 gallons of milk daily.
This is very true above. It totally depends on the size of the baby willow you got sucking on that teat. The bigger the Willow the bigger the amount of milk

Whale calves drink their mother's milk for six to eight months after they're born. They drink roughly 50 gallons of milk per day.
Nope, not yet.

As long as the milk is straight from the cow, not the stuff that has been modified by humans (i.e., milk that has undergone pasteurization). Calves are best put with a nurse cow than if they were bottle fed.
Calves, or baby manatees, drink milk from under the mom's flipper or fin.
They drink it. They use a sucking reflex on the teat to draw the milk out, then swallow it.
At birth, Humpback whale calves are between 13 and 15 feet in length. They feed from their mothers rich milk for approximately one year and can grow up to 1.5 feet per month. Humpback calves are born the length of mother's head, so the calves length and weight can vary greatly. Females run larger than males, with the largest being OVER 60 feet in length and she is part of the North Pacific stock. Her calves are around 20 feet at birth weighing in at 2 tons. Calves are seen 10' to 20 feet and weighing 1 to 2 tons. They gain about 100 lbs daily and grow 1 foot per month, according to Dr. Jim Darling of Whale Trust.
Yes. Water shouldn't be not limited to calves, because they need it just as much as cows do.
