On a 2000 Ford Fiesta, the bonnet catch is located inside the vehicle, typically on the driver's side. You can find it under the dashboard, near the footwell area, often labeled with a bonnet icon. Pulling this lever will release the bonnet latch, allowing you to open the hood.

Well, if you're talking an MK6 Fiesta (yr2003 onwards) then you pull the bonnet release which is on the passenger side, by the door in the footwell. You then have to pull the release that pops out from underneath the bonnet, and lift the bonnet up. To close it again you just need to give it a bit of height and let it drop, the catch should retract itself back in.
I have the 1999 model and its under the bonnet at the front :)
In addition to using the interior release lever, you can open the bonnet of a Ford Fiesta by locating the secondary latch under the front edge of the bonnet. To do this, stand in front of the vehicle, slide your hand under the centre of the bonnet, and feel for the latch. Once you find it, pull it upwards while simultaneously lifting the bonnet. Always ensure the bonnet is securely propped open before working under it.
