The starter motor on a Ford fiesta 1.4 tdci is located on the side of the engine. Look directly where the engine is bolted to the bell housing which contains the clutch. It can be easily visible if you are under the car itself.
Yes A large black plastic thingy on the right hand side of the air filter as you look in under the bonnet. It holds almost half-a-litre of fuel. The two fuel pipes fitted to it have easy-release connectors - just squeeze the plastic lugs and they pull off. The front pipe is the inlet. Fuel goes into the centre of the top of the filter unit and drops into a column inside the paper filter element, then percolates through the paper to the walls of the unit, then passes over the fuel heater to exit from the pipe at the back of the unit. A wiring plug for the fuel heater is connected to the back of the filter unit, underneath it. A bleed screw at the bottom of the filter, on the right-hand side, is simply to drain any water, which will sink to the bottom of the filter bowl.
