How do you get on a date in sims 2?

Well either you could call the gypsy matchmaker and ask her for blind date, depending on how much money you pay her you will have better chemistry. But the best thing for me to do is go to a community lot, scope room, and the person with the most chemistry i go for. All you do is go to ask, then on date. Try to follow the wants of the sim your dating for a better date. Your Welcome

I'll put the non-gypsy and non-scope way in step-by-step order.

1.Meet the sim you want to date.

2.Get a good relationship.

3.If the sim doesn't leave once you get a high enough relationship,just click on him/her,then click ask,then click "Out On Date".

Failing that way,it will work on the phone,too.

2.Make sure they both have phones.

3.Get to know each other enough.

4.Go to your phone.

5.Now I can't remember if the option "Ask Out On Date"appears automaticcly or if you have to click on call sim first.

6.When you have that figured out,select the sim you want to date and wait for a yes/no.

7.If the answer is yes,and you don't have a car a taxi will come and ask where to go.

8.If the answer was no,don't give up!

Thanks to the new Generations patch, you can go on official dates :D

To go on a date with a sim, you can do it by two different ways: over phone, or in person. Over phone is only available if your sim is romantically involved wiith another. When it is in person, have your sim flirt until the Ask On Date interaction is available. If the other sim accepts, you are on the date.

Hint, you need to actually go places with your date (i.e. movies, for dinner, to a concert), as unlike Sims 2, the basic social interactions won't cut it.

If the date is successful, you get a positive moodlet that lasts for 3 hours. The same applies for a bad date, except it would be a negative moodlet.

You also get memories recorded for each date, and your sim may get wishes to go on first, second, third and fourth dates after each date.

I updated it today, and have found no problems. So have fun (:

P.S. With this patch, you can go on dates, have body hair, change the life span of each generation (i.e. make teenage years longer, etc), record memories and other benefits.

well, there is really only one way to get a date on Sim's 2. You have to make your Sims fall in love, then when you click on the loved Sims, you can have the option of "ask on date". it really is that simple. the only problem is that it is hard to make a Sim fall in love. try flirting or kissing and hugging. may take awhile.

well you have to use your energy to flirt with them. ill make sure your friends with them first. once you feel the flirt bar it will upgrade you to a new relationship, and the other sim has to accept that relationship change order for it to be official. hope this helped! :)

Usually, if two sims with romantic interest in eachother or more, are alone, they automatically start a date. If not, you can call sims over the phone for a date. If you're also with another sim, I think, in the romantic section, you can click ask on date or something similar. Hope it helps!:)

you need to socialize with them a lot until it comes up with the option to 'propose going steady'. select that and you are their boyfriend/girlfriend.:)
