On a 2006 Vauxhall Astra, the diagnostics socket is located below the hand brake lever, under the cover. The Astra has been around since 1979.
It is normally located in the centre console between the gear lever and handbrake lever.
to the right of the accelarator pedal, small black lever. or do you mean the bonnet catch ? about 12cm to the right of the centre of the bonnet.
There's a lever to the left of the steering column for adjustment.
a hood release lever is a lever that releases the hook in the front of the car so it can pop open.
under the hand brake housing inside the car just pull the plastic cover between the gear lever and the hand brake and it is under that
A small release lever just in front of the parking brake foot lever
The release lever is on the drivers side of the car (for Right hand drive cars) down by your feet. If pulling the lever is not working, pull the lever, and get a second person to gently thump the bonnet in the middle at the front. This MIGHT shake the lock free if it's a bit stiff. Remember to lube the lock if this works.
The release lever is on drivers side floor by the seat there is also lever for the trunk right in front of it
There's a lever on the gearbox and the clutch cable connected to it. Take the locking plate out of the nut next to the lever and turn the nut until the clutch cable is taught again. Note that the clutch pedal should be 1" above the foot brake pedal.
Look for a lever under the dashboard. Pull the lever and you should hear the bonnet (US = hood) release a little. Look at the front of the car and you should see a small safety cash sticking out of the grill. Pull on the latch and the bonnet should be released enough for you to lift it.
Look for the lever on the lower left side of the dashboard. Pull the lever then head to the front of the car. There is a t-shaped lever in the front, under the hood, Pull that handle toward you and lift the hood.
