If your talking about the special end on the nut you can either find an old socket that is just a little bit smaller than the one on the tire and pound it on then slowly turn the socket you just put on with a large breaker bar. or you can find a small Ma and Pa auto repair and see if they have one to fit your vehicle. i had the same problem with my tbird
Put the key in the lug nut lock and keep turning it until the entire locking lug nut cover assembly comes off...just keep turning it clockwise with the key until the whole thing comes off. Then use the lug wrench to remove the lug nut that is holding on the spare tire cover. Remove the cover and then take the other lug nuts off.
Depends on how its stuck. If you have a Frozen Lug Nut, you gotta cut the Lug Stud off below the nut. If all lugs are off and it just wont slide off the Lug Spindle/Lug Studs, try hitting the back with a brass hammer, or putting a crow bar through the Wheel Rim somewhere and levering against it.....
Loose or broken lug nuts. If the lug nut were installed in reverse they will also come off.
are you talking about in the hub cap is so yes. it sounds like your talking about the axle nut wich is a no
Depends on the vehicle. If in the trunk, it's often held on by a clamp with one nut. If underneath, there is usually a nut under the carpet just over it that you undo with your lug wrench and it lowers the tire on a cable.
Plasma torch, or you can get a special key that you hammer on and screw off the lug
With the car in park, break the lug nuts loose(only), then jack up the wheel and remove the lug nuts and rim. If the tire won't move. put a lug nut on half way and hit the backside of the tire/rim with a dead blow/ or rubber mallet. Don't hit the rim with a regular hammer, it will damage it.
lug wrench or tire iron are the most popular names.
With a wrench.
A ... lug wrench.
put 1 lug nut on loosely so when the wheel breaks free it doesn't roll away ( assuming that the tire is still off the ground ) and give the tire a kick , and if necessary alternate left and right of rim with kicks ( some people turn around and kick it like a horse kicks )
using a very sharp chisel, place the chisel against the lock nut so it will rotate the nut toward loosen. strike it with a heavy hammer . be careful that you get a good bite on the first strike. it will try to slip off. continue this until the nut becomes loose. it is helpful to have the other lug nuts on and tight while you do this
