If the TPI (throttle position sensor) is bad, you will have a fault code set in the computer. To check it, with a scope, graph the signal while opening/closing the throttle. The signal should be a smooth wave, if there are any dips, the sensor should be replaced. The contact can wear in the position the blades are at during normally driving, especially if you many due highway constant speed driving.
dude if you do not know where the t/body is dont f--- with it!
On the firewall behind the throttlebody. On the firewall behind the throttlebody.
bad fuel pump, dirty injectors, vacuum leak
No the 2.8 has a Throttlebody fuel injected motor. The Throttlebody does look like a carburator, but it does have injectors.
It is on the throttlebody, opposite of the throttle cables.
many different factors can result in a bad idle on a vehicle. some of them is the fuel pressure regulator, the throttle positioning sensor (located on the throttlebody) and faulty plugs & wires, or fuel injectors
Faulty PCV system or engine blow-by.
its under the intakemanifold next to the throttlebody!
It is located on the throttlebody, on the drivers side of the intake plenum. The IAC motor will be facing the rear of the engine, below the Throttle Position Sensor and is attached to the throttlebody by 2 Torx screws.
its on the filter side of the throttlebody. Its a small right angled sensor.
Just behind the throttlebody. on the top of the intake manifold.
somewhere in the tube from the air filter to the Throttlebody
