Sear's has a special tool for that.
The pitch is the axial distance between threads, and the distance the thread moves with a 360 degree revolution. So if the pitch of a screw is 1mm, one revolution will move it 1mm farther down.
You loosen the screw until about 1mm sticks out.
Screw Pitch is defined as the axial distance between threads. One complete revolution of the screw will move it into an object the distance of the pitch. The smaller the pitch, the greater the mechanical advantage (ability to do work) achieved.

Peat forms at about 1mm per year.
Define the measurement
1mm converts to 0.000001km
If the circle has a RADIUS of 1mm then about 3,14 mm2 If the circle has a DIAMETER of 1mm then about 0,785 mm2
1MM in dollars is 1M=1K dollars 1MM=1Million dollars 1MMM=1Billion dollars
The volume will be 1mm cube. It is calculated by 1mm*1mm*1mm.

The surface area of a 1mm cube is 6mm2
