Jaguars defend themselves by climbing into trees or by attacking head on. They are quite large and have no natural predators other than humans.
Since there is a lot of trees the hide behind the trees to defining them self
They protect themselves with long sharp nails and big fangs. They will hunt you like a cat. If their ears flatten back you better back away. =-)
