as the greatest of prophets (Numbers ch.12).
Joshua took over the leadership of the Jews, after the death of Moses.
In truth, during the Pesach seder, Moses isn't mentioned. That's because we're supposed to focus on what happened, not Moses's involvement. During the seder, the story of the the exodus is read.
He, along with God and Moses brother Aaron led the Jews out of captivity. He is also remembered for giving them the Law by with they should live. This is known as the Torah by the Jews. You may find this of interest. The original tablets which Moses brought down from the mount contained a Higher Law. Because of the rebeliousness of the Jews, Moses broke these tablets and God wrote others containing a Lesser Law. All of those who left captivity in Egypt were to wander the wilderness for 40 years until the last was dead. Even Moses was not allowed to enter the Promised land, he was taken up into heaven not taisting death.

The Jews did like Moses, and they still do. Moses gave them freedom. If he hadn't done anything, Israel would probably still be under captivity and may not have had the freedom they have now.
