They are excellent trackers and smell with their tongues like snakes so they can find food easily. The fun part is how they catch it. Komodo dragons have deadly bacteria in their saliva so when they bite their prey the bacteria gets transferred into its bloodstream. The dragon then lets the food go free so it can track where the food crawled off to, which it eventually dies from the bacteria, usually that takes about 24 hours. The dragon then eats it's now dead catch.
