Leaders in India's motto is 'Visionary leaders changing the world'.
India, at least a part of it. In the days of the East India Company around half of Indian territory remained under the power of sovereign Indian princes. Although the East India Company often had much influence there, they did not formally govern those territories.
Leaders should govern by delegating tasks to others. They then manage the results for the benefit of the governed. Leaders lead best when they remain in the background.
The Dutch East India Company was formed in 1602 by a wealthy Dutch merchants. The leaders of the Netherlands give so much power to the company because Unlike Portuguese and Spanish traders, whose expeditions were tightly controlled by government, the company wasn't. But it rather had full sovereign powers. With this freedom or power, it could build armies, wage war, negotiate peace treaties, and govern overseas territory. This help the company to dominate the South and Southeast region.
